Two great things happened today:
1. I had a meeting with the program manager for the Border Health Commission so she could tell me a little bit more about what the office actually does (I work for the CDC, not the BHC...but my office is there. It's confusing.) In the middle of the meeting, her desk phone rang. It was someone from the other side of the office that wanted to make sure we knew that Obama had just announced his support for same-sex marriage. I pretty much love my office.
2. It rained. And it was only in the mid-60s outside. I thought I was never going to get a break from the hot sunshine this summer- what a pleasant surprise!
